God has given authority over the rest of creation to men and women. Humans are stewards of all God has made. ----- What should be our relationship to the environment? Should we sacrifice for it? Do we have license to destroy it? Or is there a better way? 1. God gave humans dominion, which is rule or authority over the rest of creation. 2. Our God-given dominion means we are responsible to care for the creation in a way that is pleasing to God. 3. Dominion also gives us freedom to do as we see fit with creation, as long as it is pleasing to God. ----- To which distorted view of our relationship to creation are you most prone? 1. To worship the creation (for example, to practice Environmentalism)? 2. To despise the creation, ignoring any responsibility we have in caring for it? ----- PRAY >>> King Jesus you are Lord of all Creation, and we thank you for giving us a beautiful world to live in and care for. Where we have sinned in neglecting our responsibility to care for this world, please forgive us. Where we have sinned in worshipping the creation, please forgive us.
