In Genesis 1-2, the first thing God ever called, "not good" was the fact that man was alone. ----- Do you value fellowship? Whether a spouse or a good friend, do you have someone you can share your life with? ----- 1. God intentionally designed people to live in community. 2. God made us for community because he dwells in community ----- What help do you need most right now in order to experience deeper fellowship? 1. Ideas for growing closer and creating more intimacy with your spouse. 2. Ideas for how to connect with or make new friends in the church. 3.Ideas for how to grow more depth in your friendships. ----- PRAY >>> Heavenly Father, I thank you that you designed us to be in community. I thank you for the gift of friends and family. I thank you for the Church, which helps us to fulfill our design of living in community with one another. I pray that that you would help me not to pull away from friends and family in times of need, but instead to pursue deeper community. Lord, help me especially to find a band of brothers or sisters in Christ to mutually encourage one another and carry one another's burdens. And give me compassion for people who are lonely and lack fellowship, so that everyone in our community will be connected. In Jesus' name, amen.
